大脑发育与脑功能的分子和细胞机制。大脑是生物体内最复杂的器官之一,而这一复杂系统是由胚胎发育早期的神经干细胞发育分化而来的。因此,研究神经干细胞发生和神经元发育分化的分子机制,将有助于加深人们对大脑是如何形成的这一问题的认识。同时,在分子水平上研究脑重要功能相关基因,将有助于加深人们对大脑是如何工作的这一问题的认识。
目前从事的主要研究工作有:
1. 以胚胎干细胞(ES)和多潜能P19细胞的体外神经分化为模型,研究多潜能干细胞神经命运决定过程中FGF、BMP和WNT信号通路间的调控网络。
2. 以鸡胚神经发育为模型,研究在神经发生过程中神经元和胶质细胞命运决定的分子机制。
3. 小鼠巢蛋白基因表达调控的分子机制。
4. 脑功能及神经系统疾病相关基因的筛选、鉴定及功能研究。
